How do I choose an agent?

At Shoreline Realty, we offer an array of available agents with different experience levels and personalities. Start in our Agent Bio section at the top of the page. Then, after seeing which two or three stick out to you, reach out to them and they will gladly set up an in person interview over coffee or in house with you!

What are the costs involved?

Here is an example of a few potential costs in buying or selling your home:

  • Lender Fees
  • Escrow Fees
  • Appraisal
  • Home Inspection (regular and termite)
  • Commission Costs (for sellers)
What will you do to market my property?

We at Shoreline Realty do many things. Depending on your property we may find it useful to provide…Broker’s Open House, yard signs, print advertising, internet marketing, social media marketing, email blasts, and possibly more.

What are the dangers if I overprice my home?

To put it simply, not selling it. No buyer with an experienced agent at their side is going to make a close to asking bid on an overpriced property. Remember, agents are highly educated in most cases, and we know what homes or other properties are worth.

Who pays the commission?

In most cases, the seller of the property is the payer of the commission to the agents.

Do I need a home inspection?

Absolutely yes! Forgoing a home inspection can lead to many thousands of dollars in uninspected repairs down the road.

What are the standard contingencies in an offer to purchase a home?

Standard contingencies can be one or two thing: financing and inspection. These are typical if you are seeking a mortgage for financing, and regardless of if you are financing or not we always recommend an inspection to protect your investment.
